You want to personally be involved in your teen’s education but need an alternative to all the hours of planning that quality teaching requires. Enjoy the best of both worlds of homeschooling and a traditional Christian school classroom with Abeka Academy! With Abeka Academy’s virtual program, you can easily homeschool more than one child at a time, even when your family is away from home.
You can be assured that our high-quality, traditional-education materials that instruct from a Christian worldview will provide your high schooler a solid foundation for future studies. Abeka Academy’s master teachers keep your senior engaged as he is introduced to new and interesting facts, broadens his thinking and his communication skills, and learns biblical truth. As your teen becomes acquainted with the students on the video, he will feel as though he is a part of the class. The teacher will invite him to participate in games, reviews, and drills! While enjoying the expanded learning of the classroom experience, your teen will have the benefit of your one-on-one guidance at home as you administer quizzes and tests or check assignments.
The prerecorded online video streaming or DVDs give you the flexibility to set your own daily schedule. The video lease provides a full 12 months to complete the 170 lessons and 6 months to complete 85 lessons for a semester. You also have the option to purchase either the Video & Books or Video (for those who may already have some of the materials and wish to purchase individual items separately). A video manual is provided with either option to help you stay on track with the video teacher. Also, record-keeping progress reports are included with both options to document your child’s progress through the school year. Six high school credits are included in the cost of your student's video enrollment and will be chosen after purchase during the fulfillment process. Our high school plan of study is an excellent resource to help keep your student on track by taking the vital courses needed to succeed.
Abeka Academy offers two different program types to meet your family’s specific needs. The Unaccredited program allows for more course flexibility and relies solely on the home teacher to keep track of student records. For an additional charge, the Accredited program provides official report cards and standardized testing as well as reliable record-keeping by our academic team. In the Accredited Program, your senior will receive a diploma after he meets graduation requirements, and there’s a graduation ceremony held each May on the campus of Pensacola Christian College for our ABA graduates. With either option, academic assistance is accessible through email, live chat, or phone. Conveniently view our Homeschool Agreement before purchase to understand the requirements.
