Abeka language arts courses are designed to aid your student in becoming an effective communicator through speech and writing. Learning all the meticulous, but important, rules of our English language will equip your student for future English classes and life beyond school. With this illustrated work-text, your student will see the fun and challenging aspects of learning. This year, your student will be able to diagram compound sentences, identify complements, compare adverbs, write a book report with a character sketch, create topical and sentence outlines, learn the spelling and abbreviations for each book of the Bible, and more! Language Arts 5 includes Reading, Grammar and Composition, Penmanship, Spelling, Vocabulary, and Poetry—all these subjects will challenge and push your student to excel in Language Arts.
As your child becomes acquainted with his video classmates, he will enjoy feeling as though he is a part of the class. The teacher from Abeka Academy will even pause to allow “classmates watching” opportunity to participate during reviews and drills, etc.
The prerecorded online video streaming gives you the flexibility to set your own daily schedule. The video lease provides you with a full 12 months to complete the 170 lessons, which take about 40 minutes of viewing time each. You also have the option to purchase either the tuition and books or tuition only (for those who may already have some of the materials and wish to purchase individual items separately). Both options include the assessment materials, a video manual to help you stay on track with the video teacher, and record-keeping progress reports to document progress through the school year.
