Plane Geometry Tuition and Books Enrollment

Life is full of questions—answers to which require the search for truth. Being able to reason based on truth is vital in all aspects of life—from buying cars to voting for political leaders! Because geometry is deductive and logical, the study of it will help your teenager improve his reasoning skills. He will certainly be using analytic reasoning as he works with proofs. His Abeka Academy teacher will guide him and his video classmates through the process of using deduction to prove that a geometric statement is true. Throughout the course, they will study theorems and corollaries about topics such as angles, triangles, loci, proportions, circles, and more. As he becomes more acquainted with his video classmates, your teen will feel as though he is a part of the class. The teacher will even pause to allow “classmates watching” opportunity to participate.

The prerecorded online video streaming or DVDs give you the flexibility to set your own daily schedule. The video lease provides you with a full 12 months to complete the 170 lessons, which take 40–50 minutes of viewing time each. You also have the option to purchase either the tuition and books or tuition only (for those who may already have some of the materials and wish to purchase individual items separately). Both options include the assessment materials, a video manual to help you stay on track with the video teacher, and record-keeping progress reports to document progress through the school year.

Abeka Academy offers two different program types to meet your family’s specific needs. The Unaccredited Program allows for more course flexibility and relies solely on the home teacher to keep track of student records. For an additional charge, the Accredited Program provides official report cards and standardized testing as well as reliable record-keeping by our academic team.
