Compared to the Teacher literature books from other Abeka grade levels, I thought this one was poorly made. The covers are very flimsy and it comes in just one thick volume, whereas previously they came in two separate volumes. I also miss having the reading quizzes in the actual teacher manual. I also miss having the teacher notes and the answers to reading questions with the actual reading selections; now, they are at the back of the teacher book. I am constantly switching from the front to the back of the very heavy book to reference notes and answers. It makes it difficult for the teacher to manage the teacher's manual with ease. I would also like to comment on the English 10 Curriculum booklet. Curriculum booklets for other English Abeka programs started each lesson with specific objectives. I used those objectives in writing my lesson plans. In the English 10 Curriculum booklet those objectives have disappeared, thus making it much harder to have to figure those out objectives. In general, I believe the English program for 10th grade is a step-down as far as the quality of binding materials and presentation/location of teacher reference notes.
