Pre-Algebra Video Instruction

Abeka mathematics courses at all levels are presented as part of the truth and order that God has built into the universe. An important goal is that students get a glimpse of mathematics as God’s language of creation! This particular course can be thought of as a vital bridge between arithmetic and more advanced mathematics at the high school level. It begins with a cumulative reinforcement of the concepts and procedures upon which algebra is built. Then comes work with topics such as multiplying and dividing polynomials, complementary and supplementary angles, and algebraic word problems, giving your teen a bridge to Algebra I.

As your teen becomes acquainted with his video classmates, he will enjoy feeling as though he is a part of the class. The teacher from Abeka Academy will even pause to allow “students watching” opportunity to participate during reviews and drills, etc.

The prerecorded online video streaming or DVDs give you the flexibility to set your own daily schedule. The video lease provides a full 12 months to complete the 170 lessons and 6 months to complete 85 lessons for a semester. You also have the option to purchase either the Video & Books or Video (for those who may already have some of the materials and wish to purchase individual items separately). A video manual is provided with either option to help you stay on track with the video teacher. Also, record-keeping progress reports are included with both options to document your child’s progress through the school year. 

The Unaccredited program allows for more course flexibility and relies solely on the home teacher to keep track of student records.
