Biology God’s living creation

The concept of this book is great! You are able to highlight and bookmark. The only problem we faced was when student couldn’t get their computers to work and as a result didn’t have a book. If you have reliable computers it would be a good product.

The voice is robotic and

The voice is robotic and monotone. Not helpful at all. It also skips all around on the pages. It is very confusing especially for someone who already struggles with reading. I do not recommend.

Far too difficult

This textbook is entirely too difficult for minor students. The amount of detail is burdensome and unnecessary; the text is very dry; and, in my opinion, the course is at a college level. If you plan on using the accompanying Test Book, know that the tests lump numerous chapters together for each exam instead of by chapter individually. The Quiz B...Read More

ook does not cover every chapter and the quizzes are very brief. Abeka needs to have their preview feature include the Table of Contents and several pages of text so that the material can be reviewed for these issues. Luckily, the laboratory manuals for this textbook are decent, and within the scope of a high school level, so my students have a chance at maintaining their GPA when I include labs as part of their overall grade. I have a graduate degree, regularly read non-fiction books in various areas of science, and--back in high school--aced my Biology class, so please consider this while reading my review. Read Less

Ebook is a life saver

We bought the paper book and an ebook. My daughter is not a strong reader and having both has made it so much easier because the ebook will read it to her while she follows along in the paper book. Her comprehension is so much better and it’s cut her reading time in half.
